Empower Super League 2: Nixor Demolish Sceptre to Reach the Final

Nixor College delivered a masterclass in dominance as they dismantled Sceptre in the second semi-final of the Empower Super League Season 2, claiming a commanding 10-wicket victory to book their place in the final. It was a one-sided affair from start to finish, with Nixor’s bowlers and openers putting on a performance to remember.

Sceptre Collapses for Just 71

Batting first, Sceptre endured a nightmare outing as Nixor’s bowlers ran riot to lead their team to Empower League 2 Final. From the very first over, Nixor maintained relentless pressure, forcing errors and picking up wickets at regular intervals. Sceptre’s batters struggled to find any rhythm, with no player managing to settle at the crease. Burair (30 off 29) and Haroon (10 off 20) were the only players to reach double figures.

Sceptre were eventually bowled out for a paltry 71 runs, a total that never looked defendable against Nixor’s batting juggernaut. The disciplined and fiery bowling attack from Nixor showcased their intent to dominate the contest with Rayaan leading the charge with 5 wickets from 16 runs.

Nixor Chases Down Target in Just 3.4 Overs

If there was any doubt about Nixor reaching the Empower League 2 Final, their openers erased it with an emphatic display of batting. The chase was a mere formality, and Nixor’s batters wasted no time, finishing the game in just 3.4 overs without losing a wicket. Boundaries flowed freely as Sceptre’s bowlers were rendered helpless in the face of Nixor’s aggressive approach.

Abdullah smashed 40 off just 12 balls while Usman scored 29 off 10 to see their side home.

The final of the Empower Super League 2 will be contested between Nixor and Cedar College, the two best teams this season.
