CDA Plans to Launch Electric Bus Service on New Routes

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is planning to introduce electric bus services on the Fateh Jang and Hassan Abdal routes to enhance public transport options.

During a meeting with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa discussed the expansion of electric bus routes to improve connectivity with Islamabad. He assured that the proposal would be formally presented to the Board of Directors for approval.

Governor Punjab expressed his full support for the initiative, stating that development projects should remain a priority regardless of political differences.

He emphasized that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would continue working together for public welfare.

The CDA has been focusing on expanding eco-friendly transport options in the capital, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and pollution. If approved, the new electric bus service will provide a cost-effective and environmentally friendly travel option for commuters.
