Here’s How the PSL X Points Table Looks Like After Qalandars Bounce Back

Lahore Qalandars gave Quetta Gladiators a taste of their own medicine and marked their entry into the points table of PSL X with a convincing 79-run win in Rawalpindi.

After being asked to bat first, the Qalandars produced a clinical all-round performance to secure a crushing victory over the Gladiators, handing them their first loss of the competition. Lahore’s batting was in full flow from the start, piling up 219 for 6 in 20 overs, courtesy of a blazing half-century from Sam Billings, who lit up the night with an unbeaten 50 off just 19 balls (4 fours, 4 sixes, SR 263.15). Earlier, Fakhar Zaman set the tone with a fluent 67 off 39, while Abdullah Shafique and Daryl Mitchell chipped in with quickfire 30s to maintain the tempo.

In response, Quetta’s chase unraveled within the Powerplay. Shaheen Shah Afridi struck twice in his opening spell, removing Saud Shakeel and Finn Allen cheaply, while Asif Afridi and Haris Rauf ensured the collapse continued. Rilee Rossouw (44 off 19) and Kusal Mendis (28 off 14) briefly threatened a revival, but once they fell, Quetta folded for 140 runs, well short of the target.

Lahore Qalandars sent a reminder of their quality with a dominant win over Quetta Gladiators and will be hoping this result sets the tone for the rest of the tournament. The Gladiators, on the other hand, will hope their loss turns out to be just a minor blimp in their pursuit of their second PSL title.

PSL X’s action will continue tomorrow with table-toppers Islamabad United in action against the last place Peshawar Zalmi.
