Islamabad United eased to a smooth six-wicket win over Karachi Kings on their home ground, continuing their domination of the PSL 2025 points table.
Shadab Khan’s men passed their first test away from home with flying colors, even in tricky conditions. Chasing 129, United sealed the deal in just 17.1 overs, with skipper Shadab Khan leading from the front with a composed 47 off 40 balls.
Earlier, Karachi’s batters struggled to build momentum and limped to 128/7, with Tim Seifert’s 30 being the only notable contribution. Islamabad’s bowlers, particularly Shadab (2-17), Imad Wasim (1-17), and Naseem Shah (2-29), kept things tight throughout.
In reply, United got off to a flyer thanks to Sahibzada Farhan’s 30 off 18. While there were a few hiccups, the calmness of Azam Khan (31) and Shadab ensured there were no late dramas.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Islamabad United | 4 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 8 | 2.544 |
| 2 | Lahore Qalandars | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 4 | 2.051 |

| 5 | Peshawar Zalmi | 3 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 2 | -1.033 |
| 6 | Multan Sultans | 3 | 0 | 3 | 0 | 0 | -2.941 |
While a lot can still happen, Islamabad United appears primed to be the first team to make the PSL 2025 playoffs. With all bases covered, there seems to be no stopping Shadab’s team for now.
Karachi, on the other hand, needs to quickly forget tonight’s game and prepare to welcome Peshawar Zalmi tomorrow night. A loss for them could derail their season rather quickly.
