The price of 24 karat gold increased by Rs. 1,500 per tola and was traded at Rs. 354,500 on Tuesday, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association reported.
On Monday, the price of the precious metal fell by Rs. 2,500 per tola in the local market.
The prices of 10 grams of 24 karat rose by Rs. 1,286 to Rs. 303,926 and for 10 grams of 22 Karat it stood at Rs. 278,608.
The rates of per tola and ten-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs. 3,841 and Rs. 3,293 respectively.
It is pertinent to mention here that gold has given a whopping 45 percent returns during the outgoing fiscal year i.e. FY25, second only to the 60 percent returns given by the KSE-100. Effectively making gold the second best performing asset in FY25.
