Asia Cup 2025 Trophy Unveiled in Dubai

The build-up to this year’s Asia Cup officially began its final countdown with the unveiling of the tournament trophy in Dubai.

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president Mohsin Naqvi led the ceremony, flanked by the captains of all eight participating teams, including Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha, who posed for the traditional photographs with the glittering trophy.

The event brought together cricket leaders from across the continent, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Oman, UAE, and Hong Kong, marking the start of what promises to be a fiercely contested competition.

Following the ceremonial trophy unveiling, all eight captains participated in a media session, sharing their ambitions and underlining the significance of the Asia Cup.

The 2025 Asia Cup will be played in a T20 format, with the eight sides divided into two groups. Group A is headlined by Pakistan and India, alongside Oman and hosts UAE. Group B features Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage, beginning September 20, with the tournament culminating in the grand final on September 28.

With the trophy now unveiled and the schedule locked in, all eyes turn to tonight as Asia’s top teams start battling not only for regional glory but also to fine-tuning their preparations ahead of the T20 World Cup.
