Gold Prices Drop Further in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan decreased on Thursday, mirroring the trend in the international market.

In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 3,500, reaching Rs. 433,862.

According to the rates provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs. 3,001, settling at Rs. 371,966.

On Wednesday, the local gold price had also seen a significant decline of Rs. 7,538, reaching Rs. 437,362 per tola.

In the international market, the price of gold also decreased today. As per APGJSA, the rate stood at $4,115 per ounce, reflecting a loss of $35, with a premium of $20.

Silver prices remained stable, with the price per tola holding steady at Rs. 5,110.

Meanwhile, international gold prices edged lower on Thursday, pressured by a stronger dollar as investors awaited key US inflation data later this week, which could provide further insight into the path of interest rates. As of 0310 GMT, spot gold was down 0.2% at $4,084.29 per ounce.

However, US gold futures for December delivery rose by 0.9%, reaching $4,100.90 per ounce.
