PCB Announces Prize Money for Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Ahead of Final

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the prize money for the 2025-26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (QEAT) ahead of the final clash between Karachi Blues and defending champions Sialkot.

According to the PCB, the champions of the 22nd edition will pocket Rs. 7.5 million, while the runners-up will receive Rs. 4 million. Individual awards include Rs. 100,000 for the player of the final, and Rs. 250,000 each for the best bowler, batter, wicket-keeper, and overall player of the tournament.

Additionally, the Final will be broadcast on PTV and Tapmad, while fans can also witness the action free of cost from the Fazal Mehmood enclosure. The action will be called by some notable voices, including Salman Butt, Tariq Saeed, and Raja Asad from the commentary box.

The Final of the Quaid-e-Azam trophy is currently underway at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium between Karachi Blues and Sialkot, with the latter winning the toss and electing to field. The match is scheduled from December 1 to December 5.

Usama Mir-led Sialkot, the current title-holders, aim to expand their championship collection, having previously won in 2005-06, 2008-09, and last season (2024-25). Meanwhile, Karachi Blues, led by Saud Shakeel, remain the most successful side in the tournament’s history, with nine titles since 1961-62.

The two teams last met in a final during the 2012-13 season, when Karachi Blues beat Sialkot by 9 wickets.
