The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has officially announced the Intermediate Part I Science General Group examination results, marking a major milestone with the first-ever use of e-marking for the mathematics paper.
According to BIEK, 9,678 candidates passed all six papers in the Science General Group. A total of 18,813 students appeared in the examinations, while 19,212 candidates were registered, reflecting strong participation this year.
For the first time in Interboard Karachi’s history, the mathematics paper was assessed through an electronic marking system.
Interboard Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho confirmed that the modern digital process ensured greater transparency and improved assessment quality.
He stated that the adoption of e-marking is a significant step toward strengthening trust in the examination system and modernizing evaluation methods.
