KP Introduces New Mandatory Requirement for Schools

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has made fitness certificates mandatory for all private school buses to improve student safety.

According to officials, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Transport Department has issued a formal notification directing private schools to ensure that all vehicles used for student transportation hold valid fitness certificates.

The department warned that school buses operating without the required certification will face suspension of registration. The notification stated that unfit vehicles pose serious safety risks to children and also contribute to traffic congestion and weak road discipline.
