Traffic Police Issue Advisory on Violations and Penalties

The Traffic Police Shaheed Benazirabad have issued a public advisory on traffic violations and penalties, urging citizens to strictly follow traffic laws to ensure road safety.

According to the advisory, overloading public transport vehicles, including carrying passengers beyond the permitted limit, will result in heavy fines for both drivers and vehicle owners. Driving without a valid driving license, route permit, or fitness certificate has also been declared a serious offence and will attract strict penalties.

The traffic police said motorists riding motorcycles or driving cars without helmets or seat belts will be fined. Underage driving will lead to legal action against guardians as well as the drivers.

The advisory further warned that vehicles with tinted windows, fancy number plates, pressure horns, or unauthorized emergency lights will not be allowed, and violators will face fines under the law. Encroachments on roads, illegal parking, and any obstruction to traffic flow will also invite penalties.
