The Sixers captain pointed out that Babar’s performances had a direct influence on the team’s success. According to Henriques, the matches in which Babar scored runs resulted in convincing victories for the Sixers.
That impact was once again evident in the Sixers’ win over the Melbourne Renegades, where Babar played a calm and calculated innings of 58 off 46 balls while chasing 165. Opening the batting, he guided the chase with composure, hitting four fours and a six before sealing the win with a boundary.
Henriques explained that Babar was given the role of anchoring the innings in the team. He expressed satisfaction with how Babar has handled this responsibility and said the team is happy with the way he is batting in that role.
