LG has announced its 2026 Gram laptop lineup ahead of CES, continuing its focus on ultra-lightweight designs while adding greater emphasis on durability and AI-powered features.
The Gram series has long been known for its low weight, and LG says the 2026 models build on that reputation while addressing structural strength and everyday usability.
New Aerominum Material
A major update across the lineup is the introduction of Aerominum, a new magnesium-aluminum alloy developed using aerospace-inspired techniques. LG says the material reduces overall weight while reinforcing structural strength.
According to the company, the new alloy improves scratch resistance, and several 2026 Gram models have passed military-grade durability testing.
Expanded AI Features
AI plays a larger role across the 2026 Gram lineup. Selected models qualify as Copilot+ PCs from Microsoft and use what LG describes as a dual AI approach. This combines on-device AI processing with cloud-based AI features.
LG’s own gram chat runs on the EXAONE 3.5 small language model and is designed to function even without an internet connection. The tool focuses on productivity and creative tasks.
LG has also updated Gram Link, improving connectivity between Gram laptops and other devices. The feature now supports easier file sharing and screen mirroring with Android and iOS smartphones, as well as LG’s webOS-based products such as TVs and monitors.
2026 Gram Lineup
The 2026 lineup includes several configurations, including the LG gram Pro AI in 17-inch and 16-inch sizes, the 16-inch gram Pro 360 AI, gram AI models in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes, and the gram Book AI.
One of the standout models is the North America-exclusive LG gram Pro AI 17 (17Z90UR). LG says it is the lightest 17-inch laptop with discrete graphics, featuring an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 and a 2560 x 1600 LCD display in a body closer in size to a 16-inch laptop.
The 16-inch gram Pro AI also stands out, weighing 1,199 grams while offering a 77Wh battery and a 2880 x 1800 OLED display.
Availability
LG will showcase the new Gram laptop lineup at CES 2026, which begins on January 6. Wider availability of the 2026 Gram series is expected shortly after the event.
