Pakistan’s speedster Haris Rauf has been named the top fast bowler of the 2025/26 Big Bash League (BBL 15) after receiving the BKT Golden Arm award for his standout performances with the Melbourne Stars.
Rauf has taken 18 wickets in the tournament so far and is joint-holder of the award alongside Melbourne Renegades pacer Gurinder Sandhu, with both bowlers level on wickets.
However, with the Renegades eliminated, Haris Rauf has a chance to extend his bowling dominance, not only as the leading wicket-taker but also guide Melbourne Stars to the BBL title.
His consistent spell-making and wicket-taking form has played a key role in helping the Melbourne Stars push into the BBL playoffs, keeping their title hopes alive as the competition enters its final stretch.
The Stars are set to play a knockout match against the Hobart Hurricanes on January 21 at Bellerive Oval, with Rauf expected to be central to their plans.
Before that clash, attention will also be on another Pakistan star in the tournament, as Babar Azam’s Sydney Sixers face the Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium.
The winner of that matchup will advance directly to the final, while the loser will get another shot by facing either Melbourne Stars or Hobart Hurricanes in the next stage.
