A Safe City spokesperson highlighted that timely intervention through the helpline is helping save lives. In 2025, the helpline received 2,327 calls related to mental health and suicidal tendencies.

Of these, 2,269 individuals were provided prompt counselling, achieving a reported success rate of 98 per cent.

Call statistics reveal that 56 per cent of distress calls came from men, while 44 per cent were from women, underlining the widespread need for accessible mental health support across demographics.

The initiative reflects Punjab’s commitment to mental health awareness and timely support for citizens in crisis.
