Punjab’s First Tehsil Gets Electric Bus Service

The Green Electric Bus Service was launched in Gujar Khan on Monday, marking the first rollout of the project at the tehsil level under an initiative introduced by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to improve public transport.

Provincial ministers Khawaja Manshaullah Butt and Bilal Akbar Khan attended the inauguration ceremony along with members of the National and Provincial Assemblies and district administration officials. The service will run between the Gujar Khan Bus Terminal, Sohawa city, and the Police Complex.

Addressing the ceremony, Khawaja Manshaullah Butt said the electric bus project was designed to provide modern travel facilities to citizens and has now been expanded to the tehsil level. He said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has consistently prioritized public welfare projects and noted that the current provincial leadership has introduced initiatives including Suthra Punjab, ration cards, the Green Bus Service, and Sasta Sahulat Bazaars.
