Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has arrived in Pakistan and joined the Hyderabad Kingsmen squad ahead of their crucial Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) fixture in Saturday’s double-header.
The Hyderabad Kingsmen will face Karachi Kings in the second match of the day at the National Bank Stadium, a game that carries added importance for the struggling side.
The franchise confirmed his arrival through their official social media channels, sharing a photo of Maxwell in his hotel room with the caption: “The most important delegation has arrived in Pakistan.”

Maxwell, a right-handed batter, is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most dominant performers in T20 international cricket. In 129 matches, he has scored 2,897 runs at a strike rate of 158.42, including 12 half-centuries and five centuries, with a highest score of 145 not out. He has also taken 49 wickets with his off-spin.
He brings extensive experience from top franchise leagues, including the Big Bash League (BBL), Indian Premier League (IPL), The Hundred, and the Vitality Blast.
Across 502 T20 matches, Maxwell has accumulated 10,986 runs at a strike rate of 154.16, with 58 fifties and eight centuries. He has also claimed 196 wickets, highlighting his value as a complete all-rounder.
He is set to make his PSL debut this season and is expected to provide much-needed firepower and experience to the Kingsmen lineup.
Led by Marnus Labuschagne, the Kingsmen have endured a difficult campaign so far in PSL 11. The team remains winless after four matches, with zero points and a negative net run rate of -1.558.
They currently sit seventh in the standings, just above Rawalpindi, who are in eighth place after five matches, having also lost all their games with a net run rate of -1.864.
With their campaign yet to register a win, the Kingsmen will look to their newly arrived Australian star to help turn their fortunes around in the upcoming clash.
