Pakistan is expected to experience intermittent internet slowdowns starting tomorrow (today) for as long as a week as major maintenance work is carried out on an international submarine cable system.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) informed its customers that a scheduled repair operation is being conducted by an international submarine cable consortium to fix a fault in one of its undersea communication lines.
The maintenance activity is set to begin on 14 April 2026 and may continue until 20 April 2026. During this period, users across Pakistan could face degraded internet performance, particularly during evening peak hours when traffic load is highest.
PTCL stated that while efforts will be made to minimize disruption, some level of service impact is unavoidable due to the scale of the repair work on the global cable network.
The company apologized for the inconvenience and advised users to expect temporary fluctuations in connectivity during the maintenance window.

Awesome. So much for being praised internationally 😆
So much boasting and so much chest thumbing and you got nothing. 😆
You allowed power plants to charge high rates
You reduced net metering for no reason except thru were making more energy with less costs
You sold excess lng and now facing issues.
And you supported trump for peace despite his board of peace is leveling gaza as we speak
This govt is the biggest joke.
Bhai international praise sy apko bht problem hy. Wesy to youthro ny jal bhun k mar Jana hy lkn Pakistan ki kamyabi pa pta nhn tum q tatty taway p Beth jaty ho. Or ha apki is bt sy mn agree krta hu this govt is biggest joke. But believe me khan was a joker throughout his government era if you don’t believe ask them who brought him in power and now keep him in his real place. After all they are master.
Typical Youther dimagh
Guess you dont have a balls to call the remaining 3rd party (who brought both) a joker too.
Nothing new. Repairs to submarine cables going on and disruption to the internet for weeks is not heard of. There are other motives for this move. The government does not want to see criticism after failure of Iran-USA talks drama.
