The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that heatwave conditions are likely to affect large parts of the country from June 7 to June 12 as a high-pressure system develops in the upper atmosphere and remains active through June 11.
According to the PMD, temperatures in Peshawar, Mardan, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan are expected to remain 4°C to 6°C above normal, with maximum temperatures ranging between 41°C and 46°C from June 8 to June 11. Chitral, Dir, Swat and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to record temperatures between 37°C and 40°C from June 8 to June 10.
In Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Mirpur, Bhimber, Kotli, Bagh and Muzaffarabad, temperatures are forecast to remain 5°C to 7°C above normal, reaching between 41°C and 44°C from June 8 to June 10.
The PMD said Lahore, Okara, Kasur, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Joharabad, Khushab, Mianwali, Noor Pur Thal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Pakpattan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Bhakkar, Layyah and Kot Addu could experience temperatures between 44°C and 48°C from June 8 to June 11.
Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to reach between 48°C and 51°C in Sukkur, Shikarpur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, Mohenjo Daro, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki, Khairpur, Nausheroferoze, Sibbi, Turbat and Panjgur from June 7 to June 12.
Karachi is also expected to face very hot weather, with temperatures likely to remain between 40°C and 43°C from June 8 to June 12. Night temperatures are also forecast to rise during the period.
The weather department further warned that isolated dust storms may occur in parts of southern Punjab and Sindh due to intense heating.

But no one listened to scientists. They kept crying about environment. Congrats you'll be experiencing this every year with increase in 1 to 2 degrees.
