Pakistan’s Masterstroke: Captured Indian Pilot to be Released Tomorrow

Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to release the Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman in a bid to defuse tension and de-escalate the issue.

Wing Commander Abhi, who was captured on Wednesday after Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian Mig 21 near Azad Jammu and Kashmir, will be released on Friday, announced PM Imran Khan in a parliamentarian address on Thursday.

With this step, Pakistan government has sent another strong message to the Indian government and the rest of the world. Those, who were supporting a war between the two nuclear powers, will now be under more pressure.

ProPakistani had also suggested that such a step should be taken by the Pakistan government in order to end the war before it is too late. Apparently, the government and Pakistan Army were already considering this option to politically pressurize the Indian aggressors and show the world that Pakistan is a peace-loving country while India is the offender.

During his address, PM Khan said that Pakistan tried to resolve the conflict through dialogue but Indian responded with aggression.

He said that his offer of cooperation in the investigation of Pulwama attack was overlooked as India started to blame Pakistan just 30 minutes after the said attack that killed over 40 Indian soldiers.
“I immediately offered India to provide actionable evidence because we have vowed not to allow our soil to be used against any other country. Unfortunately, war hysteria started booming in India,” Khan reflected in his address today.

He also appreciated Pakistani media’s positive and responsible reporting of the events.

Our media showed mature attitude, but sadly, Indian media created war hysteria and we feared that India will do something foolish.

The Prime Minister also confirmed to have received Indian dossier on Pulwama incident today, two weeks after the incident.
“Had they provided the dossier earlier, all this adventurism could have been averted,” PM Khan said.

It is a developing story, shall be updated accordingly.

  • According to my opinion, it is great step from Pakistan. This will help in to release tension between both countries. Today PM Modi going to address to his nation and he is in trouble as well.

  • Indian media is so toxic, I don’t know how these monkeys across the border watch it lol. They still believe they shot down a F16 and just see their media, they believe this release of pilot was under Indian diplomatic pressure. The level of jingoistic and gutter journalism is so high it’s hilarious! haha
