The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) leaked examination paper case has compromised the credibility of its appointments made on at least twelve key posts.
The arrested suspects confessed that they had leaked twelve papers, and this revelation has made the recruitments of the candidates for eight posts of inspectors in the Anti-Corruption Department (ACD) and the hiring for the post of Assistant Director (AD) dubious.

Reportedly, those who had topped the examinations for the posts of inspectors had used unfair means, which also renders their appointments questionable.
The other toppers, namely Kamran Haneef and Jahanzaib, had also bought the examination papers beforehand, and it has been claimed that each candidate had paid Rs. 0.5 million to the sources.

The PPSC had announced the examination results for the post of the Assistant Director in the ACD on 26 September 2020, and the results for the posts of inspectors in the ACD had been announced on 7 September 2020. The list of the successful candidates had been sent to the government on 7 December 2020.
