Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar, urged the students to benefit from the Ehsaas Scholarship Programme, the largest undergraduate program in Pakistan.
Dr. Sania attended a function at Women’s University in Mardan on Monday as a chief guest, where she termed the Ehsaas Program a gift from Prime Minister Imran Khan for the brilliant, yet destitute students of the country.

She said that students who are unable to afford higher studies, often quit after matriculation and intermediate levels, which is why the Ehsaas program, in its first phase, provided financial assistance to the students. She also listened to the issues of the students regarding the program and guaranteed them their solutions.
The Special Assistant posited the establishment of a women’s university, a step towards women empowerment.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen, also addressed the event during which she requested Dr. Sania to create more opportunities for the students of Mardan in the future, particularly under the Ehsaas Program.
The function was attended by the university faculty members and students.
