Danish Kaneria Questions Babar’s Captaincy & Poor Fielding Against West Indies

Pakistan’s former leg-spinner, Danish Kaneria, ridiculed Pakistan’s poor fielding display in the first Test match against West Indies and blamed poor captaincy as the reason behind Pakistan’s loss in the Test match.

Kaneria, known for his candid opinions on the current state of cricket in the country, believes that Pakistan should have introduced spin against the tail-enders in the fourth innings while defending a target of 168.

The former spinner took to Twitter to voice his opinion on Pakistan’s one-wicket loss to West Indies.

Pakistan decided to stick with their pace attack to defend the target and only used Yasir Shah for three overs in the fourth innings. Yasir did not bowl at his usual best as he went wicketless in the match, conceding 59 runs in 16 overs he bowled in the match.

Pakistan’s fielding in the fourth innings was less than impressive as they dropped three crucial catches. West Indian tail-enders managed to hold on to their nerves as they chased down the target with one wicket in hand. West Indian fast bowler, Kemar Roach, scored an unbeaten 30 as he led his team to a 1-0 series lead.
