Samsung — in December ’15 — announced a new high-end addition to the Galaxy A-Series, named Galaxy A7. It’s been a little while since Galaxy A7 started selling in the Pakistani market. It is currently available at most Samsung outlets in Black, White, Gold and Pink colors with a price tag of PKR ~53,000/-.
We received our Samsung Galaxy A7 review unit yesterday, so below are some unboxing pictures and our first impressions of the device.
Galaxy A7 Unboxing
Samsung’s Galaxy A7 comes in a pretty standard packaging which Samsung has for other high-end devices as well, such as the Galaxy S6 or Note 5. Packaging itself is pretty clean, with just the smartphone name up-front and a few basic technical specs on the back.
You pull open the box to find the Galaxy A7 right in front of you, all wrapped up in packing stickers. As you’d expect, underneath the device is a quick start guide and the accessories which include: a SIM ejector tool, handsfree, data cable and the fast charging adapter. Interestingly, the charging adapter is exactly the same that you get with Galaxy S6 and Note 5 but the handsfree is not.
Galaxy A7 First Impressions
I usually use a Note 5 as my daily driver but I’ve been using the Galaxy A7 for a day now and have to admit that I’m impressed. It has the same build quality and feel that you’d expect from the higher priced Galaxy S6 or Note 5. Front and back glass panels are both protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The metallic frame of the device is bulging out from all four sides which improves the grip and makes the Galaxy A7 feel solid.
As much as we’d love to see a flawless device but Galaxy A7 does come with it’s fair share of design flaws. Weighing a hefty 172 gram, the Galaxy A7 does feel a bit heavy for its size. Moreover, the back glass panel is a fingerprint magnet and sometimes makes you feel as if the phone might slip out of hand. Not to forget, the home button on the Galaxy A7 does not protrude like it did on the Note 5. This shouldn’t be much of a problem but I personally think that a protruding home button feels quite better.

Aaamir bhai, one suggestion please use lightbox for click to enlarge images. Its kind of boring and distracted when the image it self opens in the same window and takes you away from article.
53000 for A7 ?
It’s better to go with S6 edge which is around 56000 or galaxy s6 64Gb version
Agree
You are probably referring to without warranty prices because otherwise S6 Edge costs 65K.However S6 32gb @55K is still a better deal.
Warranty or without warranty doesn’t matter, genuine brands ko warranty ki zarurat nhn hoti aur warranty kis cheez ki I mean the A7 is a glass coated phone and if accidentally glass are broken we are not able to claim, damage of battery, display and accessories are not able to claim. Warranty is just a lollipop nothing else
Accessories don’t usually have a warranty but you should be able to claim the rest under Accidental Coverage :-)
And what is the terms and conditions for this thing ?
Read the conditions ?
Share with us kindly, if you have read them.
What in specific do you find problematic? Because I’ve successfully claimed accidental coverage for a S6 Edge+ which fell down and cracked it’s display.
Then always use iPhone for long lasting durability ?
On mega dot pk
But A7 also stands @42,500 there ;)
That’s why I told you Galaxy S6 is a better deal ?
That’s the 2015 model, not the 2016
No its 2016, 2015 one stands @35K
