First off, cut power to your laptop. Take the battery out and remove power cable (if connected).

  • Gently detach the touch-pad portion and carefully disconnect its wire from the laptop.

  • Carefully locate the wiring mechanism holding the keyboard together. Gently lift the keyboard component and disconnect it from the internal circuitry.
