An Argentina fan risked jail time after she was spotted topless on live TV after Gonzalo Montiel’s winning penalty during the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar on Sunday.
The blonde South American woman left nothing to the imagination as stripped her top off to celebrate Argentina’s historic win.
Lionel Messi etched his name in history, as he finally won the World Cup in an epic thriller against defending champions France. Argentina won the game in a nail-biting penalty shootout that sparked crazy celebrations all around the stadium. However, one Argentinian fan went a little too far with her celebrations by stripping off her top.
The female fan violated Qatar’s dress code and is likely to be put behind bars or at least slapped with a huge fine. Although the Qataris have shown a certain level of tolerance towards visiting fans, there still have strict rules and regulations against such kind of lewd behavior.
Earlier in the tournament, former Miss Croatia, Ivana Knöll sparked outrage with her raunchy outfits that did not conform to Qatar’s conservative dress code. She was stopped by security personnel during Croatia’s FIFA World Cup quarter-final clash with Brazil at the Education City Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
Before the start of the FIFA World Cup 2022, host nation Qatar issued a warning for visiting female spectators to refrain from wearing revealing clothes during the events or face jail time for dress code restrictions.
According to Qatar’s rules and regulations, women are expected to cover their shoulders and knees in public places and are banned from wearing tight outfits or flashing their cleavage.
