Nabil Gabol Deflects Blame for Misogynistic Remark by Drawing Comparison with Imran Khan

Controversial politician Nabil Gabol has responded to the criticism he received for his misogynistic remarks that went viral on social media.

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) member deflected blame on to Imran Khan, claiming that he and Khan both made problematic statements but he’s only targeted because he isn’t as “handsome” as the PTI chairman.

Gabol also remined everyone that his “enjoy rape” comment was a quote from a 1998 novel The Extra Man by Jonathan Ames.

Nabil Gabol has been under fire for his problematic remarks about rape. Rather than apologize for his statement, the PPP politician deflected blame by targeting Imran Khan, implying that the PTI chairman has made similar remarks.

Gabol tweeted a line from a popular Bollywood song,

Hum kare tu saala charecter deela hai…

He referenced an excerpt from a recent Times article written about Imran Khan and called out several journalists, including Aurat March organizers for not saying anything about the PTI chairman. Nabil Gabol joked, “I think I need to lose weight and look handsome like Khan and become Ladla (pampered) so that no one criticize me”.

The problematic politician also gave context to his “enjoy rape” statement that got him into trouble in the first place.

Despite Gabol’s “justification” Twitterati roasted the ex-Minister on social media.

For context, Nabil Gabol was seen suggesting victims of sexual abuse to “enjoy rape” during a podcast. The distasteful remarks sparked outrage but also unearthed several instances where Nabil Gabol has shown signs of a sexual deviant.
