Our Opinion

Asus ROG (Gaming Phone) Rs. 140,999ROG Phone is the ever first smartphone from Asus which is designed specifically with gaming in mind. It has become a great competitor to the Razer phone. This inspiring device is a high-tech device which packs unique and innovative features. These thoughtful features are designed to deliver an incredible gaming experience. Besides, these amazing features, ROG phone comes with multiple of accessories to facilitate the users (gamers) to the fullest.

ROG phone offers a 90Hz display which means that its screen is refreshed 90 times in a second, so delivers much smooth animations. To make more interesting, Asus has specifically selected 2.96 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It is the fastest processor around.

The most interesting feature of the phone is that it comes with three USB-C ports. One is in the usual position and the other two ports are conjoined on the left. The idea behind it is that while the device is on the charge, you can still use it without getting the cable in the way of your hands. The other amazing feature is that the ROG phone has three ultrasonic sensors. Two of them serve as programmable shoulder triggers for landscape gaming, which lets you see more of the screen since your index fingers are now out of the way. While the third sensor is at the bottom of left side which lets you to quickly toggle the applications.

The most amazing accessory among all is the ‘TwinView Dock’ which lets you to simply attach another screen with extra battery power via the conjoined USB ports. It lets you be able to use any screen of your choice. It also lets you enable the X-Mode b squeezing the sides of the phone. The X-Mode changes the UI skin from a cool blue to a deep and ominous red and automatically optimizes performance for gaming by shutting down background processes and prioritizing whatever you’re playing for both RAM allocation and data transfer precedence.

For such a power packed phone it is normal to get heated. To avoid such problem Asus brings “AeroActive Cooler” with the ROG phone that clips onto its curved glass back. This plugs into the conjoined USB-C ports to power its fan and RGB logo.

From inside, Asus blew out the device’s specs with 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, a massive 3850 mAh battery. You will also find a pair of front-facing speakers, an 8-megapixel front and a dual 12MP+8MP ultra-wide camera on the back. A fingerprint scanner is also present which is rear mounted. The ROG Phone even supports 802.11 WiGig connectivity, so you can stream gameplay wirelessly to a nearby TV or monitor using Asus’ companion WiGig Dock. In short, the ROG Phone might just be the most powerful Android phone on the planet.
