Description of Microsoft Surface Duo
Microsoft Surface Duo price in Pakistan

Are you looking forward to buying a smartphone and want the best one for you?  We have come up with the best review on the upcoming flagship Microsoft Surface Duo; a perfect 2020 holiday treat for you. Microsoft Surface Duo price in Pakistan might be PKR 300,000. It’s the price in terms of Dollars can be USD 2258. It is an upcoming smartphone that will have foldable phone technology and is expected to come with 12 GB of RAM Memory and Up to 512 GB internal storage. This phone will be an outstanding blend of productivity and mobility. This dual-screen, foldable phone will fit perfectly into your pocket; two revolutionary screens will be connected by 360° hinge, bringing you the best combo of Microsoft and Android. You will re-imagine productivity on the go with the high-resolution display and stylistic design. The surface duo dual-screen setup is a vital component in unlocking productivity for a device that will fit entirely in your pocket. The phone will like an opened book literally when you open it, so that’s a really cool feature. The duo will support a fingerprint reader on the side of the device, accompanied by USB-C for fast charging. There’s sadly no headphone jack, and we have no idea about the battery capacity so far. ProPakistani will keep you updated on all leaks and news we have got exclusively for our readers.

Design:

Microsoft Surface Duo will be a Microsoft first phone release after years so we are expecting a lot of innovative and exciting features. The phone will have dual-screen with support for the surface pen and will be a true phone/tablet hybrid that will maximize your productivity and entertainment, so prepare to pony up.  Surface Duo will have two 5.6 inch displays that fold out into an 8.3-inch device overall and it’s just 4.8 millimeters thin. It will fold like many two-in-one laptops thanks to a 360 degrees hinge and it’s designed to get more done on the go.  According to Microsoft released video it looks and feels like a tiny pocket tablet that’s also a phone. You could run a game on one side, and a gamepad on the other, or multi-task by dragging and dropping content between apps.

Unlike other foldable phones, Microsoft didn’t opt for single foldable screen design, because we all know two screens are much more versatile than having one. You will be able to fold the screens, to get a traditional single screened mobile device, or you can have two screens all at once when opened and get two different apps opened at one time. This feature gives us a clue about the phone’s durability as well as sleek and modern screens. Microsoft Surface Duo will two separate displays that are made of glass, rather than foldable plastic. The Microsoft surface duo as indicated by its name will support postures such as Tent mode and Laptop mode.

Processor and operating system:

Microsoft Surface Duo will not run on Windows, this is not a knock on Windows 10 or Windows 10X; the new OS for dual-screen devices, the duo will run on a Qualcomm 850 which is an ARM chip. It could have been really easy for Microsoft to slap Windows into its new folding device but no this is Microsoft thinking about the consumerS. Android has tons of apps and is quite mature, people already know how to use it. Because if you’re using a pocket device that you may make calls on you might be expecting a familiar experience like with Android. The surface duo will run on Android 11.0; an operating system that already has built-in support for foldable devices. Another reason this isn’t running Windows Phone is that Microsoft gave up on that operating system years ago when it couldn’t convince developers to create apps for its devices.

Since in 2020 new top-of-the-line mobile chipset from Qualcomm are also going to be announced, most of our leaks suggest that the released version of the Surface Duo will go with Qualcomm 865 chip. We all know this Qualcomm chip will integrate 5G, meaning the Surface Duo will also incorporate 5G connectivity.

On Microsoft Surface Event they announced:

“This product brings together the absolute best of Microsoft and we’re partnering with Google to bring together the absolute best of Android into one product”

This means that Microsoft is going to be privy to all kinds of good stuff and this will be the real Android with Microsoft working together with Google, and we know this sounds insanely exciting.

Camera:

Now let’s talk about the Microsoft Surface Duo camera, it will feature only one camera on the right screen display when you open the phone, this seems really odd. This is maybe because if you want to take a photo, you’ll need to twirl that screen around so that the camera is pointing at your subject. That seems like a big hassle, especially considering cameras have become a critical feature of smartphones. So there might be possible that the phone design will change upon release, and this might be some Microsoft’s marketing tactic.

Things we appreciate:

  • We heart the Android Microsoft partnership
  • Glass screens
  • Microsoft has not forgotten the affordability factor, Microsoft surface duo price in Pakistan is going to be affordable, as compared to other foldable phones whose prices are literally bankrupting,
  • Foldable design that looks stylish as well
  • 5G connectivity
  • 8.3 inches widescreen
  • Only 4.8mm thin when folded
  • Support for windows app
  • PC connectivity
  • Regular android updates

Things we would like an improvement in:

  • Seeing only one camera on the front screen has really disappointed us and we are expecting an update in the design with multiple depth and wide-angle camera
  • Headphone jack: if this supports a laptop mode, we would have loved if it will have a headphone jack

Microsoft has a whole bunch of time to see how the market and developers respond, the company could just pull the plug on the device before the holiday season. However, we think we’re going to get a lot of multi-screen devices in the future. Are you excited about the duo, let us know in the comments.
