Realme C2s price in Pakistan is Rs. 15,999. Realme deserves all the praise it gets for its value for money smartphones in the budget and Midrange segment. It’s only a year, the company has started, and it has come so far, It is compared to the likes of Samsung and Xiaomi and more and competing in this crowded budget, and the mid-range segment is no joke. But up until now,

the company is doing very well. In 2018 the Realme C put up a good impression and a year later its successor the Realme C2 is taking a shot at becoming one of the best value for money budget smartphones. So, will it succeed let’s find out? Ever since the beginning realme had a youth audience as its targets and that can be seen in their designs, which the realme C2s has tried to deliver as well. The body is plastic as all budget phones are, but it has this unique check and diamond kind of texture at the back, which you can feel. The pattern is an eye-catcher as well, and it also changes depending on the viewing angle. We did not expect this on the phone under 20k. Besides that, the phone has rounded edges that provide an excellent grip to the users.

Furthermore, with the waterdrop notch style upfront, they’re keeping up with the trends. This tiny notch does not hamper the viewing experience, so it’s all good, and if you are not a fan of grooves, it will grow on you.

Moving on the Realme C2s comes with a 6.1inches IPS LCD within a 19.5.9 aspect ratio and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The resolution is the only HD, but that’s what budget phones tend to do mostly. However, as compared to its predecessor, the screen size is slightly smaller. But other than that the viewing angles are perfect. However, the quality o the screen mostly depends on the color schemes. Because the colors sometimes look livelier because of the dynamic colors, while at other times it’s a bit too dull, so not a great display but good enough.

Though the sunlight eligibility is more than capable, it does leave its users demanding for more. We faced severe problems while viewing darker areas on the screen, and that’s not good. Especially if like us you love to watch movies mostly on your phones, rather than on your computer. Overall the display on this one is quite similar to the C2, barring the downsizing of the screen size.

Camera:

The camera performance on this device is also surprising; normally, one gets a camera with subpar performance in this price range. However, the 13 megapixel F 2.0 primary camera coupled with the 2-megapixel depth sensor captures good photos. We were able to take precious color photos with excellent details in daylight, due to some AI processing. The rear camera can produce pictures with good color ambiance, and as a result, the images are quite good.

Using the AI effect slider, we could minimize or maximize its effects by changing photos. However, the AI effect equals the images being more beautified; it removed various spots on the face, and also picture seemed a lot brighter. But again it’s a matter of personal preference. Furthermore, we noticed that sometimes the image is taken from the rear camera results in the background being overexposed, so it has been inconsistent sometimes.

The portrait mode produces images with proper edge detection. Despite having a sound edge detection system, the bokeh effect was not so good. We could sometimes see the background clearer then one expects in a portrait mode. However, taking photos in dim light is not its cup of tea, as soon as the lighting of the room decreases, visible noise can be seen in the images.

On the other hand, the 5-megapixel front camera is decent at best; the background gets super exposed while taking a selfie. Similar to the pictures from the rear camera, the selfie shooter depends upon the lighting of the place as well, where you’re taking it. However, considering all the facts, we pick the cameras on this one are very good for its price.

Performance:

The realme C2s uses the Helio p22 chipsets for its performance. It is a slight upgrade from its predecessor the Snapdragon 450 and much much better from the A22 used on most budget phones. However, it’s still not powerful enough. For the smooth flow of day-to-day tasks, it has 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM. For the performance, it always leaves us asking for more. App launch times are slow, and some apps show such severe lags to the point of frustration. Though not often, you might witness twitches in animation and slow touch responses.

By now, you must have already guessed that this phone is not built for competitive gaming. While playing big games like PubG, you will find yourself staring at the loading screen for considerable periods and even when the game finally loads; there will be drops in frame rates and some touch on responsiveness. But you will be able to play it in the lowest of settings. The heating effect that comes after further will add to your frustration. However, light games like crowd cities and stuff run smoothly enough.

As for the software, realme C2s runs on Android 6 with color OS 6.0 lite on top. It is an improvement from the real messy C2, who’s UI was not optimized, and the OS skin was pretty thick. The device works fine if only a couple of apps are running in the background; however, once the number reaches like 6 to 7, the phone becomes sluggish. Application load time increases and you might even notice switches and animations, so overall not a top-of-the-line budget performer.

The battery is a saving grace for the device; the 4000 mAh battery is super lasting. It can go up to two days on normal usage and even three if you are inadequate enough though we had to wait for a good four hours to completely charge the phone.

Final Verdict:
