Samsung introduced its next flagship phone to the market, the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy 21.

The Galaxy S21 has a cutting-edge flagship chipset. An  Exynos 2100 and a Snapdragon 888 depending on the market. Both are built on a 5nm process. The results of the two chipsets both performance & graphics wise are striking.

Regardless, the phone performs real-world tasks smoothly providing a good gaming experience especially with games that support a higher frame rate. This is paired with support for 5G network connectivity.

The Galaxy S21 comes with the newer UFS 3.1 which has a faster read and write speed. The device packs 8 GB RAM and gives two storage options. A 128 GB option & a 256 GB option. Keep in mind that expandable storage isn’t an option anymore.

The phone’s interface is Samsung One UI 3.1 based on Android 11. The device is built around a 6.2 inch dynamic AMOLED display with a small punch hole for the selfie camera & is protected by corning  Gorilla glass victus. The phone offers 1080 x 2400 pixels with a sharp resolution & it is HDR10+ certified. The S21 also offers an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The phone houses a 4000 mAh battery with fast charging paired with a 10 W wireless charging feature. The device also comes with a 4.5 W reverse charging feature. The S21 doesn’t come with a charger in the box.

In terms of optics, The S21 comes with a triple camera setup.  That includes a 12 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera with fixed focus & a 64 MP telephoto camera. Turning on night mode in low light lifts the details with better resulting photos. The Galaxy S21 model also packs a 10 MP selfie camera with better processing as compared to last year.

With the Galaxy S21 model, you get a durable plastic body & a glass front bearing an aluminum frame with a matt finish. The device is IP68 certified. The Galaxy S21 makes use of an ultrasonic fingerprint reader for unlocking the phone.

If you’re looking for a compact high-end phone this might just be the right choice for you. While the phone does include a high-performing chipset with great battery life, we wouldn’t recommend switching your phone if you have a Galaxy S20 or S20 Ultra.
