More About Xiaomi Mi Note 10

Xiomi Mi Note 10 price in Pakistan & specs:

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 price in Pakistan is Rs 79,999. Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is a successor to the Mi Note 3 from 2017. Xiaomi just skipped six generations like that. When you open the box, you’re greeted with the smartphone, and it comes in midnight black, Aurora green, and glacier white colors.

There is an envelope that houses your sim ejector tool, Warranty card, User guide, You also get full support for all the 4G/LTE networks. The phone comes with a Smokey TPU case, which is a little bit different; it does have some Raisivity, to protect those curved edges. We have a 30watt charger and a USB Type-C cable. Let’s dive into further details.

Design and Display:

This phone is made of glass and aluminum sandwich, a flagship style design, along with a curved display and back. You also get the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5, on the front and back. The phone is tall in size and thinner bezels. Not only it looks premium but also feels very premium in hands, and it is heavy-weight, but it’s not as extensive as most phones, so one-handed typing is a breeze. The Penta camera set up a differentiates it from a flagship bearing similar form factor.

On the front, there is a 6.47 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. On top of the screen, you have that waterdrop notch that houses a 32-megapixel camera and earpiece. The phone has an under-display fingerprint sensor, which is not as fast as other Xiaomi phones.

With face unlock, and the animation is super fast. Security-wise, face-unlock doesn’t match fingerprint unlock, but with this speed, it’s hard not to use it. On the left, you have got nothing, and on the right side, there is a power button, volume rocker, and a Dual SIM card tray without any SD card support. The Display on this phone is super crispy and has excellent sunlight legibility.

Performance and Hardware:

On the software side, Mi Note 10 runs on Android 9 Pie along with MIUI 11.  There is also an option to hide the notch and then another bizarre opportunity to waste your screen real estate. Are people still Notchophobic in 2020?. We love the integration of dark mode for notifications, but it does ship with a lot of extra bloatware that we haven’t seen before. Thankfully you can delete them.

The phone has a 128 GB storage with 6 GB of RAM, and there is 112 GB of available storage. For smooth performance, this phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G Chipset, which is clocked at 2.2ghz. It behaves almost like a flagship chipset, for messaging, your everyday social media, and other utility apps, as there are no lags or slowdowns while multi-tasking.

When it comes to gaming, as usual, we played PUBG on default settings, which are HD graphics and high frame rates. The gaming experience is top-notch on this phone, and we have no complaints because we don’t see skipped frames or lags anywhere. The battery drains after gaming for 2-3 hours in one sitting. And the back feels relatively warm to the touch — nothing alarming. This is something worth noting if you want to conserve battery while on the move.

Speaking of battery, this phone ships with a rather hefty 5260mAh battery. So on average, it will take about 6+ hours of gaming to deplete the entire battery. Still, to test this phone, we put it through mixed medium to heavy use of social media stuff, taking photos, and 3 hours of gaming all on wifi. That gave us over 8 hours of screen-on time. We were left with a 10% battery to spare.

It took us 38 minutes to charge from zero to 70% and1 hour and 6 minutes for a full charge. It supports fast charging, and thankfully, a fast charger came in the box.

Camera:

You get five cameras with Quad flash, a 108-megapixel primary shooter, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, another five-megapixel telephone lens, 20megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Huge camera bump, that is well guarded against scratches when you put the case on it.

If you didn’t already know, the Mi Note 10’s camera is by far its most significant selling point. Now when we first heard about the 108MP, we must admit we were a bit skeptical about the whole megapixel count thing at first. But now, we are certainly convinced that not only was Xiaomi trying to grab everyone’s attention with numbers but with results as well.

Now in this 27-megapixel shot, the saturation and details were so good that we compared it with iPhone 11 Pro camera, and of course, it was an easy win for the Mi Note 10. The primary lens has a perfect sense of depth for your portrait shots.

Indoors, the primary camera still exceeded any expectations we had. The selfie camera is brighter but isn’t nearly as detailed. If we compare the portrait mode with that of the iPhone 11 Pro, after taking many shots, Mi Note 10 focusses on both objects at the same time. At the same time, the iPhone 11 Pro isn’t capable of that, when the lighting is less than ideal.

We have to give night mode to Apple. Now, asides the 2 and 5 times optical zoom, this phone can go up to 50X hybrid zoom.

It shoots videos in 4K, and there is an option for image stabilization as well.

Prior now, we’ve been led to believe, that flagship killer can only be about flagship processor on a budget. The Mi Note 10 is not just any flagship camera, the best flagship camera for point and shoot photography. A Xiaomi camera that does it all so well without the help of GCAM.

Final Verdict:

There’s a reason Xiaomi took this route, if we could take a wild guess, we’d say its probably to give Mi fans a taste of what to expect from their real flagship this year. All of that likely will come at a price much higher than the Mi Note 10. Xiaomi will release the usual flagship killer type smartphones this year, for those who don’t care about photography. Mi Note 10 is specifically for those who love capturing their special moments and are passionate about photography. Drop us a quick comment, and let us know about your thoughts.
