Huawei Launches the Metallic Honor 5X Phablet in Pakistan

Huawei has announced that it is bringing one its latest Honor phablets to Pakistan – the Huawei Honor 5X. Typical of the X suffix smartphones in the Honor lineup, 5X comes with better specifications compared to the normal sized Honor 5 and is a major upgrade over its predecessor, the Honor 4X.

Details about the Huawei Honor 5X

The mid-range phablet touts a metal design with aircraft grade aluminum body and is built around a 5.5 inch 1080p IPS LCD display. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2 or 3 GB of RAM depending on the variant available in the market. • Huawei generally has been over priced with there devices in pak, where as this one looks gud

  • It seems like specs and price mentioned is so impressive. i called to helpline but they said its not launched and even no info either it will be launched ?

Is Pro-Pakistani running behind rating scores by publishing non-confirmed reports ?

    • NoNo, we got official info from Huawei that they are releasing this new phone in Pakistan.

      • Huawei has just launched 5X tomorrow in US, how could they launnch in PK. i guess it will took 3 months to launch..

Huawei launches first Honor phone, smartband in US

        Wednesday 6 January 2016 | 12:07 CET | News

Huawei has confirmed the launch of its Honor 5X smartphone in the US, the first of its online-only brand Honor to reach the country

        • The Answer lies in your question. Its the first Honor phone to be released in the US while Pakistan has been getting Honor phones for quite some time now. Besides Huawei has more presence in Asia and Europe than in America

          • Aadil , i beleive you are much aware of huawei launch . I am interested while reviewing its spec at very first sight but some people are against sanpdragon 600-800 series. whats that ? is it really heating up harware?

Please also confirm the launch month of this handset…

            • There were overheating problems with Snapdragon 810 and 615 initially but the seem to be resolved now. But since its a metal phone you are bound to feel it getting quite warm (or hot). At the same time metal body helps keep the processor cool so the phone shouldn’t slow down.
Expected to be available this month.

    • Huawei Pakistan Officials told they are going to launch this set in Pakistan with tentative date of launch is 4 February

  • Huawei never launched same price tag in pak ever Huawei 3c lite Price in Ind 6999 here Launched price 17k Huawei 4c price in ind 11k here comes 19k now u said 160$ i will say it will comes price tag of 25k in pak or even more only Samsung launched same price tag around the world

    • Bud it depends on dollar conversion rate. In Pakistan Dollar is 106 and in India its 66.60, there is a difference of almost half and hence the mobile prices doubled in pakistan and then the retailers here keep their margins plus stupid taxes by corrupt politicians and what not…. You are lucky you are even getting a mobile brother so be thankful to Allah. BTW samsung mobile phones are also cheaper in India but it doesn’t mean they launch cheaper. I hope you understand.

      • @fahadj:disqus the point is when you predict/forecast any launch, you have to calculate all such stupid taxes and other amounts, after than you quote amount which is near +/- 5%.

What is Propakistani is doing here, they creating a hype (specially for Huawei) and company makeover price tag according to the hype generated. Recently they have done the same with Y6 launch, Propakistani spec showed LTE set within the range of 16K but company launched it same spec with 3G only on same tag… so brother don’t trapped always and try to understand the forecast with company strengths & marketing tactics.

here is reference story link as proof: Huawei to Launch its Y6 LTE Smartphone in Pakistan for Rs. 14,899
        http://propakistani.pk/2015/10/29/huawei-to-launch-its-y6-lte-smartphone-in-pakistan-for-rs-14899/

      • After the dollar conversion still they cost 5k to 6k more in pak due to ishaq dollars taxes and duties!

        • Akhir Ishaq Dar ne apnay gareeb bacho ki school fees bhi tau dene hai aur do watq ki roti poori kerni hai… tax kia us ka tau zakat khairat aur sadqa per bhi haq hai.

    • you are right, all companies launches mobiles here more than regular price, and now look why huawei ship here only 2gb ram mobile ?

  • One can expect that from the world’s biggest Telecom Manufacturer……when they enter a certain area, they will be a force in it very soon..they are getting their with the smartphones and the future Super Phones….

  • If it comes for that price, i can bet that it’ll become one of the best selling phones of pakistan ☺

    • yes zawyar, i agreed . i wish if they launch both 2GB RAM and 3GB ram version for PK market too.

    • This phone will be crap because this sn615 processor is failure and flop not even worth in 10k
Agar kisi ne choolay ke tor pe le ke rotian banani hain to le le

        • bhai faida kya jab aap hath main pakar na sako aur kano ko laga ke sunno to dhuaan nikle

all SN616 smartphones are crap check on google

paisa zaiya karna to khareed lo

          • yar I am not sure what to say as I dont know what will be the price in Pakistan. secondly 160 usd walay octa core mei sd615 ha not sd810, so heat issues are overblown. if u think mtk octacores with lte are better one then buy those but be advised u wont be getting exynos which is found in samsung galaxy s6 at this price.

            • Search google mtk octacore 64bit processor are better than SD because it dont have heating issue

u can check list of smartphone which had sd 615 and sd810

then pick anyone one them and search that phone on google adding heating issue

you will realized its useless to buy

              • Qualcomm will at least give drivers to oems to update their phones while mtk wants money for every new android version. that is another reason many mtk phones dont get updated android version. I dont know about heat issues between these two so I cant comment but I own one mtk 64 bit octacore and it runs good.

      • Lol hmarey area mein gas ki loadshedding kafi he,ye tou eik aur advantage mil gya ????

  • Let me just spoil the party by saying that SD 615 was one of Qualcomm’s 2015 disasters , overheating being the rampant issue. you’re better off going for Qmobile Z10 for the lesser price (19k last i heard) , which will have more ram and a much stable SoC in exchange of a fingerprint scanner.

oh and expect this to be priced ABOVE 22k AT-LEAST !

    • yes snapdragon 615 and 810 have heating issue that’s why many companies don’t using it specially 810 Samsung use their know prosesser in S6 and with metal body on 5x Woww it will burn? fingers if temp gone above, 40c

  • It is prices at $199 in the U.S , if they price it similarly then it will be a instant hit.
