This year’s Champions League saw some great comebacks form minnows of the game, with a particularly spirited performance from AS Roma (Italy). Roma thrashed giants FC Barcelona 3-0 at home to grab a spot in the semis of the most prestigious club football tournament in the world.
Now they, along with 3 others have reached the semis of this year’s UCL. The list of semi finalists for this year includes:
- Real Madrid
- Bayern Munich
- Liverpool
- AS Roma
The draws were held today and here is how the matches will take place. To be clear, no teams are seeded in the semis, meaning that teams from the same country can face each other. This time all four teams are from different leagues of Europe though.
Draw Results for Semi-Finals
The first legs will be on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 April, with the returns on 1 and 2 May. Following teams will face each other;
Semi-Final 1: Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid, first leg at Munich.
Semi-Final 2: Liverpool vs AS Roma, first leg at Liverpool.
The final of the Champions League will be played on Saturday 26 May, NSC Olimpiyskyi stadium, Kyiv.
Great draw. It would be relatively easy for Liverpool to beat Roma than beating Bayern or Madrid.
