Apple’s Upcoming Dual Sim iPhone Will be Exclusive to China: Report

With the announcement for new iPhone just a month away, the leaks and rumors are piling up.

The latest one comes from United Daily News in Taiwan, which says that one of the upcoming iPhone models, the 6.1-inch Dual SIM variant to be exact, will be exclusive to China.

Other Leaks and Rumors

Based on previous rumors, the 6.1-inch iPhone will sport an LCD display and will be in the middle of the pack in terms of models and price. This year Apple is rumored to launch 3 iPhones with a 5.8-inch OLED model, the previously mentioned 6.1-inch LCD model and the top of the line 6.5-inch OLED version.

Other details include dual cameras for the two lower-end models and a triple cam setup for the 6.5-inch model.

An analyst predicted their prices to be “aggressive”, around $600-700 for the entry-level 6.1-inch iPhone, $800-900 for the 5.8-inch OLED version and $900-$1000 for the 6.5-inch model.

First Dual-SIM iPhone

This is the first time Apple will be launching a dual-SIM iPhone. Leaks regarding this change surfaced originally in April this year, and later with the release of iOS 12 beta which had a line of code that pointed towards a potential dual-SIM iPhone.

Like all rumors and leaks, take this one with a grain of salt, as there is no way to confirm its plausibility. It may not be China exclusive for all we know.
