The fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is approaching, and the cricketing nation is already pumped up ahead of the festive tournament. With just 14 days remaining till the start of the league, the franchises, cricketers, fans and even journalists are sharing memorable moments from the past three seasons.
Pakistan’s latest teen sensation, Shaheen Shah Afridi, has also spilled the beans about his inclusion in the PSL 3 and how his franchise helped him to perform in the crunch situations confidently.
The 18-year-old said while speaking with a local TV channel.
When I came to PSL, I was a fresh graduate from U19 team. It was a new experience for me to play against top cricketers and in this scenario, Lahore Qalandars gave me confidence which will always remain with me.
Recalling his early days, Shaheen revealed that during the early matches of PSL 3, he was disappointed with his performance and went to Lahore Qalandars’ management and offered to return all the money paid to him under the contract.
“I was very disappointed, so I went to them but at that time they expressed full confidence in me, and that helped me to make a strong comeback in the tournament,” he said.
Now a regular part of the national team, Shaheen Afridi has proved that he is capable of achieving big things for the country.
So far, he has picked up nine wickets in three Test matches, 19 wickets in 10 ODIs and has 11 scalps in just 7 T20Is.
