PIA Welcomes Airbus A320 AP-BMX to Its Fleet

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has received an Airbus A320-200, with registration name AP-BMX, as its latest addition to the fleet.

PIA’s official Twitter handle announced the news.

Here’s a sneak peek of our newest addition to the PIA fleet! The magnificent beauty – AP BMX has arrived at Karachi, and we can’t wait to show her off in the skies!

CEO and President of the airline, Air Marshal (retd.) Arshad Malik inspected the aircraft at the time of arrival.

The aircraft has been leased from ALAFCO – a Kuwait-based aircraft-leasing company – and arrived at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on  Thursday.

The Airbus was built nine years ago and took its first flight on July 22, 2010. It was previously used by a Saadi airline.

This will be 12th Airbus 320 in PIA’s fleet; the airline is expecting another delivery (of AP-BMY) next month. The airline uses this super-quiet, fuel-efficient airplane on its domestic as well as international routes.
