PCB Chairman has announced that England will not be sending their main team for a short tour of Pakistan in early 2021 due to scheduling conflicts. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the invitation by PCB for a short limited-overs tour and have been looking to play their part in bringing cricket back to Pakistan.

Pakistan recently toured England amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and ECB has been looking to reciprocate the gesture. But, England is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka and then to UAE to play India in a Test series, that will provide a very short window for them to accommodate a tour to Pakistan.
Ehsan Mani, while in a press conference with Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) Chairman, Tavengwa Mukuhlani, revealed that England might send a second-string lineup to Pakistan for a short tour in early 2021. He said that it is crucial to schedule another short tour just like Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) toured the country to change perceptions across the globe.
Mani also appreciated teams that have toured Pakistan recently and said that short tours will send a powerful message to the cricketing world that Pakistan is safe for cricket.

He said that the next few years will be very important for the country as PCB is looking to host top Test-playing nations including Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa.
