Kroos didn’t seem happy about expanding football competitions.
It’s clear with these new invented competitions, we’re simply puppets for both FIFA and UEFA. New competitions are devised such as the Nations League or the expansion of the Club World Cup to maximize profit and in doing so it’s simply pushing players to new physical limits.
UEFA’s decision to hold UEFA Nations League amidst a COVID-19 affected and jam-packed season has been criticized heavily by the football fraternity. Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, also voiced his opinion on the matter and said that the authorities cannot expect players to play 3 matches within a week in different parts of the world.
Klopp said that it is unfair to the players and the teams to play so many matches in such a short span of time.
The hectic season has already witnessed some high-profile injuries and a higher COVID-19 positivity ratio among the players.

Kroos also took a dig at Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, calling him not a good role model for children. Kroos said, “Aubameyang once celebrated and took out a mask. That’s where it ends with me. I don’t think that’s a good role model, either. What nonsense.”
