Pakistan’s all-format captain, Babar Azam, is gearing up to lead the national side for the limited-overs tour of South Africa, scheduled to begin on 2 April.
Although widely regarded as one of the finest batsmen in the world, he has been heavily criticized by the cricketing fraternity for his slow strike-rate and his poor power-hitting ability. Azam, never one to back down from a challenge, has stated numerous times that there is room for improvement in his batting, and he is still in a learning process. He said that he aims to become the number one batsman in all formats.
