Nokia is Making a 5G Phone With 108MP Camera: Leak

In 2019, Nokia launched the PureView 9, the world’s first phone with a Penta sensor camera. Initially, there were rumors that the company is working on a PureView 10. However, soon it was clear that the Finnish firm has steered away from launching a flagship device.

According to the latest information shared by the Nokia Power User, the company is working on an upper mid-range phone with a Penta-lens setup, which will be succeeding the Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone. This device will most likely arrive in the market as an X-series phone.

The report details that the impending smartphone will be sporting a Penta-lens setup with a 108-megapixel primary camera and is expected to break covers as the Nokia X50. In addition to this, the handset will likely feature a 6.5-inch PureDisplay V4 that that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The report further claims that the phone will be powered by the unannounced Snapdragon 775G chipset (SM7350 model number). It will pack a 6000 mAh battery that was also spotted at the TUV certification platform. According to the listing, the battery will be paired with 22.5W rapid charging.

Although there is no word about other sensors in the Penta sensor camera, the setup is expected to include an ultrawide lens, a depth sensor, a macro shooter, and a telephoto snapper with ZEISS optics and OZO Audio technology.
