The 31-year old will be available for Hampshire for three out of the four remaining matches in the County Championship. Abbas will spend the required time in quarantine upon his arrival to the country, and as a result, will miss Hampshire’s next match against Yorkshire. He will be available for selection for Hampshire’s match against Warwickshire, scheduled to begin on Sunday.

Hampshire currently sit on top of division one table and are looking to win their first County Championship title since 1973. The team that finishes at the top of the table will claim the County Championship crown, while the top two teams in the division will face off against each other in the final of the Bob Willis Trophy, set to be played in September at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
