International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva has said that Fund has asked Pakistan to raise tax revenues and have a fairer distribution of pressures by moving subsidies only toward people who really need them.
Speaking to DW at the Munich Security Conference, Georgieva said that her heart goes out to the people of Pakistan who have been devastated by last year’s flood.

She stressed that IMF is asking Pakistan to take steps that it needs to take to be able to function as a country and not to get into a ‘dangerous place’ where its debt needs to be restructured.
Elaborating on the need to enhance tax revenues, she said that those who can and those who are making good money be it the public sector or private sector need to contribute to the economy.
She said that it shouldn’t be that the wealthy benefit from the subsidies, it should be the poor who benefit from them. She emphasized that the IMF is very clear that it wants the poor people of Pakistan to be protected.
In a separate comment, Georgieva said that money collected from the rich in the form of taxes should be spent on those who need the government’s help. She said that it is a very compassionate and reasonable request.
She questioned why the rich in Pakistan should benefit from the subsidies and why rich people and businesses should not pay taxes when the country is facing such tremendous challenges.
Politicians still not caring for poor. They are finding the ways to continue their luxury lifestyles and protecting elite. Govt should stop giving fuel and extra perks to all the officers immediately.
Can you ask any Senior Military officer, judge, politician or senior government officer to do that?. The answer is NO.
Not a single liter of Petrol quota is reduced for any employee so far. And they will not let it happen. Sons and Daughters of Government officers are enjoying in government cars with their hundreds of liters of free petrol quotas. Pakistan is made for them. We are slaves in this country.

Real Solution:
Tax the Poor More and More. These slaves must be taxes to protect the rich and powerful of Pakistan.
More Points to be added:
1) Expand DHA and Askari schemes across Pakistan. DHA should be established in every city of Pakistan.
2) Increase government salaries by 100%.
3) Increase pensions of government employees by 100%.
4) Increase the quota of petrol for all Senior government employees.
5) Destroy the local industry and import Chinese and other products. Dont let educated people to stay in Pakistan.
6) Expand the Blasphemy law to protect Our Jawaans and Judiciary.
7) A special protection squad should be created to protect the sons and daughters of all rich and powerful.
8) Use Terrorism and Religion to control the masses.
IMF saying the same thing that public has been crying for decades, tax the rich, not the poor. When will the culture of privileged government servants going to end?
