PCB Terminates 11 Data Analysts After Performance Review

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dismissed 11 data and video analysts following, a comprehensive performance review following PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi’s directive to evaluate the analysts’ capabilities, focusing on critical skills required for their roles.

The review process involved a committee tasked with assessing the proficiency of 26 analysts. Of those tested, 11 were deemed to have fallen short of the board’s performance expectations.

According to sources, the evaluation concentrated on key areas where the analysts failed to demonstrate the necessary expertise.

In light of the findings, the PCB acted swiftly, terminating the services of those who did not meet the standards. The remaining 15 analysts, who successfully passed the assessment, have been retained and reassigned to various teams within the PCB.

This decision underscores the board’s commitment to maintaining high standards in its operations, particularly as the role of data analysis continues to grow in importance within professional cricket.

The PCB is expected to further invest in developing its analytical capabilities to enhance team performance and decision-making in the future.

Pakistan recently lost to Bangladesh by a 2-0 margin at home in a Test series. This was the first time in Bangladesh’s history that they achieved a clean sheet against Pakistan.
