The Multan Development Authority (MDA) has launched a city-wide crackdown against illegal housing societies, registering 148 cases against the owners of 196 unauthorized developments. This decisive action aims to protect citizens from fraudulent investments and ensure compliance with urban planning regulations.
The MDA identified 196 housing societies operating illegally across various zones in Multan. Of these, 130 were located in the North Zone and 75 in the South Zone. These societies were found to be selling property files without obtaining the necessary approvals from the MDA, in clear violation of established rules and regulations.
In response to these violations, the MDA has registered 148 cases against the owners of these illegal societies at different police stations throughout the city. The MDA has issued a strong advisory to the public, urging citizens to refrain from investing in these unauthorized schemes.
They emphasized the importance of verifying the approval status of any housing society with the MDA before making financial commitments. This precautionary measure is intended to prevent individuals from falling victim to fraudulent schemes and to promote informed investment decisions.
