Meta has recently unveiled its augmented reality glasses, ‘Orion,’ which the company boldly claims to be “the most advanced pair of AR glasses ever made.” These glasses closely resemble regular spectacles but are equipped with cutting-edge augmented reality features, signifying a major leap forward for the company.

As per Meta’s claims, the Orion AR glasses come after nearly five years of development. These glasses boast an integrated display, allowing for seamless indoor and outdoor use without the need for a smartphone or any other device.
Meta’s relentless pursuit of miniaturization has paid off, with components reduced to mere fractions of a millimeter. The Orion AR glasses not only display essential AR elements but also provide users with a clear view of the real world, effectively addressing the issue of isolation commonly associated with AR glasses and headsets.

The Orion is designed with advanced AI technology, enabling it to “sense and understand” the environment and offer effective solutions to relevant issues. It is also capable of tasks such as suggesting recipes based on the ingredients in your refrigerator, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Ring.
At this time, Meta has selected a specific external audience to receive access to the wearable, and the company is addressing hardware and software issues before releasing Orion to the general public. Additionally, the company aims to significantly enhance the display of Orion, making it sharper, visually slimmer, and more affordable.
