Pakistan baseball team defeated UAE to remain perfect in the ongoing Arab Classic Tournament being organized by Baseball United at The Sevens sports and entertainment complex in Dubai.
The second outing proved to be a lot more challenging for Pakistan after their opening win against Bangladesh as UAE showed some mettle early on before Pakistan pulled away to earn a 10-3 win.
Pakistan had early momentum, racing to a 5-run lead after just the first innings before UAE fought back in the second to make things interesting. Zohaib saved Pakistan with bases loaded to stifle any chance of UAE’s comeback before the batters got going again to see Pakistan home.
After their wins over Bangladesh and UAE, Pakistan will now take on India tonight in their third game of the Arab Classic. Pakistan is the highest-rated team in the tournament and favorites to take the title home. If the opening two games are any indication, that title is well-earned.
The Arab Classic is being hosted by Baseball United which aims to promote the game in the Middle East.
Pakistan has sent a 14-member squad for the tournament.
