The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important directive for all Pakistani citizens. According to the new regulations, obtaining a National Identity Card (NIC) is now mandatory for every individual upon reaching the age of 18.
Under Section 9(1) of the NADRA Ordinance 2000, citizens are required to apply for their NIC within 90 days after turning 18. Failure to comply with this requirement may lead to severe penalties.
According to Section 30(e) of the NADRA Ordinance, individuals who fail to apply within the stipulated time frame could face imprisonment for up to six months, a fine of up to Rs. 50,000, or both.
This move aims to ensure accurate registration of citizens and streamline the management of national records. NADRA’s initiative highlights the importance of timely compliance with legal obligations to avoid penalties.
The authority urges young citizens and their families to prioritize this requirement and submit their NIC applications promptly to avoid potential legal consequences.

Which country in the world jails or fines its people for ID cards? Even the strictest Dajjali regimes of Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Jordan don’t do that to their citizens. Welcome to the hellish part of the world – Pakistan
ہر ادارے نے عوام پر دھمکی دھونس لگا رکھی ہے !
افسوس کی بات ہے جب فارم بے بن گیا تو نادرا کو چاہیے خود رابطہ کریں
Is it within the preview of NADRA to issue such directives. I think NADRA should focus on its own working and devise plans that ensure facilitation for citizens to apply well in time. In a country where a very large population cannot read or write and also lives in remote areas and are short of monetary resources, NADRA could involve families rather than individuals to ensure this policy is implemented properly.
Ajeeb baat hai B-Form record hota hai Nadra kay pass they should post the first CNIC directly to the citizen at their address rather putting penalties.
Also, itna competitive staff betha hai Nadra office main kay meray bachoon kay English naam khalat record karay hain aur mainay kaha kay correct kar dain tu jawab mila kay cnic par ursu main naam hota hai jab smart card banaye gay tab sahi kar daingay.
No link to UC records where the information is correct.

What Rubbish Behoodgi is this? Sab loot mar ka tariqa hai awam ko tang karo by every means yeh kiya dadageri dhamki hai
aysi Soch pay 21 topon ke salami jis k pechay sirf uneducated awam ko lootna ka ka plan ho
Or awam uneducated kun ha sub ko pata ha school janay k leay to kea awam k pass zinda rahnay k leay k leay sources nahi hain sub pay qubaza mufiaas ka ha
Until the people of this country free themselves from political entanglements and stand up for their rights, things will remain the same. From a small-time cart vendor to every institution, all have now resorted to issuing threats.
What’s the point jab us CNIC ka sab se important usage yani VOTE hi chori kr lia jata hy

Even though having Form-B for kids under the age 18 years, The pakistani Passport department is compelling the parents to have smart card for the kids who are between the age of 12 and 18 years. This is just another way of looting the citizens. Where as the procedure for processing a new passport says either Form-B or CRC or family registration is enough on the internet. below is the link that explains it
https://dgip.gov.pk/passport/process.php
Step 2 – Fee Verification + Capturing of Photograph + Token Issuance
The applicant will produce the original CNIC/Smart-Card/NICOP or Children Registration Certificate (CRC)/B-Form, in case of below 18 years of age, along with its copies and Bank Challan Form or e-Payment Confirmation Detail (SMS/Email along with PSID No.).
Upon verification of fee payment, the Official will proceed with capturing of applicant’s data i.e. photograph, CNIC Number, amount of fee, application type etc.
Token will be issued to the applicant.
The applicant should check his details on token i.e. Application type, Priority type, CNIC/CRC number and amount of fee deposited.
In case of any discrepancy, he should immediately report to an official at the token counter, otherwise, the applicant has to go through twice to all the subsequent stages.
I was compelled by the Kohat Passport office staff and the Incharge to make a smart card for my 15 years daughter to proceed with the process which i had to follow though Form-B was enough.
All these tactics are being used just to milk the public from their wealth so that govenement can do ayashee.
