Pakistan’s express pacer has been hit with a two-ODI suspension for on‑field gestures during the Asia Cup clash against India. The decision followed a code-of-conduct hearing overseen by ICC Match Referee Richie Richardson, with multiple players sanctioned for bringing the game into disrepute.
The suspended player is Pakistan’s Haris Rauf, found guilty under Article 2.21. He was fined 30 percent of his match fee and given two demerit points.
Those additions take him to four demerits within 24 months, triggering two suspension points and an automatic two‑match ban. Rauf will miss Pakistan’s ODIs against South Africa on 4 and 6 November 2025, the first of which is already underway in Faisalabad.
Three others were penalized for the same offense. India’s Suryakumar Yadav was fined 30 percent of his match fee and received two demerit points, while Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan and India’s Jasprit Bumrah were also handed fines and handed demerit points for bringing the game into disrepute.
The incidents occurred during the Asia Cup 2025, where Pakistan and India played each other on three occasions. The high-octane clashes between the two arch-rivals were riddled with political gestures as the players from either side taunted each other due to the war between the two countries a few months prior.

Please ask ICC to ban him permanently.
