Getting an M-Tag in Islamabad has been made deliberately simple as authorities push for final compliance ahead of the latest deadline.
With less than 15 days left before the extended cut-off expires, motorists in the capital are being urged to complete the process now and avoid last-minute chaos at toll plazas.
Required Documents for M-Tag Registration
To register for an M-Tag, motorists are required to bring just two documents:
- Vehicle Registration Card/Book
- CNIC of the vehicle owner
That’s it. No extra forms, no files stuffed with photocopies, and no long list of supporting papers. As long as the vehicle’s registration and the owner’s CNIC are available and valid, the M-Tag can be issued on the spot.
Officials have repeatedly emphasized that drivers who arrive with these two documents in hand are usually processed quickly, while those missing either one are forced to come back.
Earlier, One Network announced 15 M-Tag registration centers across Islamabad, giving residents multiple convenient options depending on where they live or travel.
For any confusion about timings, locations, or requirements, motorists can contact the helpline at 1313.
